My Hoa Pagoda – Nha Trang, Vietnam 2020

After returning from Vietnam in the winter of 2019, the founders of TranScience quickly began turning their vision into action. Through their business, RDPT Boutique, they pledged 25 percent of proceeds to support the organization’s mission of expanding educational opportunities in Vietnam.

The funds were used to purchase school supplies, including government-approved textbooks, writing utensils, backpacks, and notebooks, to equip children with the tools needed for learning. Working closely with relatives in Vietnam, the team sought a teacher who would share their commitment to the cause. That search led to Ms. Kenina Nguyen, who joined TranScience’s mission to teach English to the children at My Hoa Pagoda, despite living more than 9,500 miles away.

Weeks into the program, the founders received a video message from the children they had met months earlier. In the recording, the students expressed their gratitude in English, a powerful reminder of the impact of the initiative.

Since then, TranScience has continued working to provide teachers and educational resources to underserved communities, building on the promise first made during that 2019 trip.
